Piano Courses by Kate Elmitt

House&extension

Over the years I have conducted many courses at Little Benslow, the residential music school in Hitchin.    These have been for absolute beginners, advanced performers, and all shades in between, including ensembles with piano and accompanying courses.     Course members have asked for reunions and additional courses for which Little Benslow, whose diary is always crammed, could not find dates.  I consequently began to offer single day and weekend courses at my home.

Edgeworth House Single Day Courses are from 9.30am to 9pm at weekends, with lunch, evening meal and light refreshments provided.      Maximum number on any course is 10.     Students are kept busy all day, with master class lessons, ensembles, accompanying experiences, and just enjoying making music together, in a friendly encouraging stress-free atmosphere.

Edgeworth House Weekend Courses are residential (or non-residential for those living nearby and wishing to return home nightly) with all meals provided (two breakfasts, two lunches, two evening meals, and light refreshments).    Maximum number on any Eagle Wing course is 10.    Again, students are kept busy (they often say they’re going home for a rest!) with content similar to the single day courses.

Observers

Observers are welcome on all Arlesey courses, where room permits, at approximately half the price of participating members.

Food at Edgeworth House and Benslow

All food is cooked to the highest standard on the premises, with special diets being catered for.
